We are all curious about the release date. Don’t deny it.
So, let’s a little bit of fun with it.
Select a date and if the game gets released on that date, I’ll buy you the game.
Just email your Steam name and your chosen date to [email protected] and I will add it to the list.
The sooner you email me, the more choice you have.
One entry and date per person. Actual date of release is what counts.
See the project page: HL3: When?
Page design and layout liable to change.
I love it!
where option: Never?
(I would rather believe in what Phillip organizes community modders to create HL3, what Valve will release it in the next 2 years)
PS: I won 🙂 – where can I pick up my HL3? 🙂
P.P.S.: or it may be April Fools” day
Release date?? If E3 takes as long as it did for DNFE, I’ll be in my mid 70’s and Phillip will be a “Senior Citizen” ;-p
You could be right!
This is a very good idea Philip, but I have my doubts it will be released next year. Nevertheless I will give this a go. Do we email you the Steam account name or the Steam Community name?
It was thelastlambda’s idea.
I also have my doubts it will be released next year, but that’s cool, I’ll just run it for 2013!
You can use either name.
Halo 6 will be out before Ep3 does! Every time we call Gabe Newell fat = one day delayed from Ep3.
One way to look at it is how many game series have come out since Episode 2. Some of these are off by a couple months before Episode 2, but the point remains:
– All of the Assassin’s Creed titles.
– All three Call of Duty: Modern Warfare games (not to mention World at War and Black Ops).
– All three Uncharted games, soon to be four with the PS Vita one.
– Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas (not to mention Oblivion and Skyrim)
– The whole BioShock series, and likely the upcoming BioShock Infinite as well.
– All three Rock Band games (not to mention countless Guitar Hero games)
– Halo 3 and its spin-offs, ODST and Reach.
– Both the Crysis games.
– Both of the Batman Arkham games.
– Both the Dead Space games.
– Both the Mass Effect games, and likely the third too.
– The Left 4 Dead and Portal series, of course.
– By the way, we’re closing in on 5 years, which is roughly how long Half-Life 2 took to make in the first place.
That’s a lot of games! 😀
Actually the Portal series started at the same time EP2 got released.
Long after Episode 3 is released.
How about this then. Half Life 3’s debut release on the PS4!
I’m going to go with November 14, 2012
Without an email, you are going nowhere.
Great idea Phillip. Was something I considered talking to you about.I may think of something else along the way but first I’m going to see if I can make a map for the competition in the few days remaining.I’ve been playing with portal authoring tools so got a very small understanding of hammer. Will probably never submit but hey ya yea never know
I wish I could claim credit for it, but it was thelastlambda’s idea. Good news you have started mapping.
15 December 2013
When I see Half-Life 3 on my Steam Games Library list…
If it wasn’t for the fact I won it in the 100sdon draw I would have probably chosen my birthday (which I suspect is other entrants have done), but alas I will have to hold my breath, I want this game!!
3/3/12
or
12/3/12
November seems to be the hot topic.
Christmas time releases are always big sellers.Doesnt mean it will happen thou.heck it doesnt mean it will even be released in 12
