“You need to steal information from the combine from their radio base, named TGMAST-SEC-12.
You can do this by turning their radio system back on and examining their data.
However, their base is heavily guarded.
They do not use many troops at first.. but once their radio is on, the fighting begins.
Once you have killed all the soldiers and examined the data, you have technically won.”
This map is dedicated to an Anti-Spam steam group named TGMAST.

It’s an abstract map in the sense that you can see the edges of the level but it does try to offer a realistic scenario.
To be honest, I found it lacking any real challenge but it seems the map never really was supposed to be anything more than a test for the author.
I wouldn’t say there are any secrets but see if you can get to all the places you are supposed to.
You might enjoy it as a coffee break distraction.

Didn’t really have much to enjoy about this one, though I suppose the headcrab canister smashing into the shed looked decent enough.
Visually, it definitely wasn’t a great choice to leave the edges of the map completely open. Probably would’ve been better to just put a wall or an opaque fence along the edges, even for a test map. I’m not sure why you built a building just out of prop blast-doors, but I don’t use Hammer, so I suppose that could be easier or something. The tower holding the crane and SMG-bearing citizen, uh, was a little weird to see mixed in, since it was ripped straight from the red barn at the start of Water Hazard; the barrel blocking the winch couldn’t be moved, anyways, since I didn’t have a crowbar.
Right when I started the level, I was immediately being shot at by Civil Protection officers that were, like, right next to me; that wasn’t super great. I had a similar issue upon activating the radio, with the way that the resulting Combine Soldiers spawn immediately outside the building. I died pretty quickly upon exiting, partially thanks to the spinning wheel (connected to the windmill) which brought me down to about 30 health from passing next to it, and then had to load a save. For whatever reason, the map’s node graphing seems to break when a player loads a save, and I wasn’t able to reenable the AI, so I pretty quickly lost hope in finishing the map.

You didn’t miss anything, so I wouldn’t worry.
Judging from the description (“you have technically won”), is there not an actual end to the map?
Yes, you’re right. The map doesn’t actually “end”.
I’m breaking the curve on the ‘time played’ here, but only because I then explored a bit and took a look at the map in noclip mode.
It was visually pretty good, save for the ‘edge of the map-ness’ of it. I’m *positive* that I broke it in that I never tried really leaving the building area, and used the weaponry at distance until the all-clear was given… Even though I had *not* actually defeated all the enemies. They weren’t apt to come running, so perhaps me staying in the room with the car was breaking their attack trigger.
I think it would be greatly improved by some form of flow – in order to actually DO anything, block off areas to create a path that the player must get through. it’s a great start, though, to something that could easily entertain much longer than a couple minutes at a time.
I did have one of those ‘wtf’ moments looking at the big Combine ‘structure’… Not even sure what that was supposed to be, but it actually also made me wonder: well, maybe it’s twisted parts of a building that got hit by a Portal Storm, bent up and left to rot.
Not sure whether the 2 rebels that were left alive in their little impromptu bunker were supposed to respond to me, fight by my side, or just die at the Combine’s attacks. They did none of those, just standing there even when I did make it to their location. (which: had to noclip to, since the ‘bridge/ladder’ thing was broken by an attack.) Don’t make things which rely on your motion around the map become broken when you’re not even trying, or don’t know they’re supposed to be a goal.
Visible goals would have been nice too – the warning of ‘stay alive long enough’ was okay, but it could definitely be escalated into a much more interesting map with just a bit more effort and testing.

Apart from a few fun moments, I found this map to be quite boring honestly, but it’s so short it doesn’t even matter.
I don’t know if it’s the first map from this author, but one thing that you REALLY need to improve is the mapping. I mean, at least make it so you can’t walk on the edges of the map. Also, this is one of the easiest and shortest HL2 maps I’ve ever played. I believe that it took me only 3 minutes to beat it. Also, I find the idea of making a map for an anti-spam group a bit odd.
Overall, this isn’t the worst map in the world, but it’s not that much fun either. I say Maybe.
I didn’t like this map at all! very amateurish poor combat, and the whole layout was a mess.
Some things into the map looked interesting but they were absolutely useless.
The map was overall like an arena.
And I have the strong feeling that this work was a rather unfinished project, before something coherent. I really don’t know why people release this projects if they look like a test map and not something properly done for gameplay…
Sorry but anything beyond a TT recomm. is just too much for me, and this map really don’t deserve it.
Beside I had the a.i disabled bug. So I had to play in one go!

I like inside of building in this map, but other than that looks terrible. Not all ”area style” maps and mods are bad, but this is not the good one.
This is ten mins of fun. Nothing more but it was fun!!
