Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half-Life 1, 2 and Episodes 1, 2 and 3

A fun map without any enemies. The purpose is to drive around in various buggies and use the ramps to do some acrobatics. The better you are the more ramps are made available to you.

It’s not the usual type of mod, so I’ve marked it Consider It simply because you need to enjoy driving around more than shooting.

There’s a second version which I will be posting tomorrow.

Hmm, theres gotta be a limit t these maps sometimes, I mean this is stuff you’d see on facepucnh Forums, but not here.

  3. but not here.

Yes here. Perhaps you have misunderstood my objective for the site and that is to list and make available ALL (1) the SP maps and mods made for the Half-Life series. The readers can decide whether they are worthy of spending time downloading and playing. There are other sites that pick and choose what they consider to be the best.

(1)That said, I do restrict the additions to first person.

Glad I watched the vid, I kept loosing control going down the Holy S___ ramp!! Too bad there arn’t any airboat areas, I like these driving maps! Got one for FarCry with lots of jumps, good diversion!! 😉 PP, I bleeped it myself!!

needs a death race 2000 aspect

Sheesh why all the Voilence just enjoy it as a racing game I always hoped Crysis or HL2 with their massive sized map levels would be ideal for this type of gaming gives something new other than the run & gun norm.
Im going to download this with an open-mind.
il post again on my rating
Dont Break it til you Tried it.

Oh no that I understand perfectly, it’s simply that I wish there a bit more creativity in the maps of late.

@ AI Why not try ch_createairboat…?

I haven’t tried this one yet, but am looking forward to it. I’ve long thought there were too few maps & mods with either vehicle playing such a central role. It’s a shame there’s not a combat angle though.

    1. That’s impulse 82 or 83..can’t remember. One spawns a jeep and the other spawns the airboat. It will do that in any HL game. has so far for me. I’ve used the airboat many times where I was supposed to be in the jeep..

    Maybe?

Sorry for the double post, but as nobody else has I feel free to comment………Forget the boat thing, it really doesn’t fit into the scheme of things, fun though it was…..I’m going to have to give it a “consider it” rating, as it’s fun, but not really especially interesting……I suspect the author has spent a bit of time on Garry’s Mod? I could be wrong of course……..

    this map PWNS!

  11. That’s Half-Life 2/hl2/ Maps folder? put it in there, there is no maps folder in just Half-Life 2.. Just askin. It’s doing what the others did until I jacked with them until they eventually worked.

    1. Correct. It won’t have any maps until you add some. The maps in the actual game are found elsewhere. Are you sure you have the BSP file in there and not the compressed file?

      1. This is where I put the superbuggytrack BSP

        C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Username\half-life 2\hl2\maps

It’s in there, just won’t load. I get this:

        ] map superbuggytrack
        CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: No such map ‘maps/superbuggytrack.bsp’
map load failed: superbuggytrack not found or invalid

        I even tried this:

        ] map_superbuggytrack

        And this comes up:

        ] map_superbuggytrack
        Unknown command “map_superbuggytrack”

Does this use HL2 Episode2? I know some of the BSP’s that are in there do, I found out after the fact. They were in the HL2 modwall, I just haven’t gotten around to coughing up for Ep’s 1&2 yet. Bigger fish to fry at the moment.

I know this would be hella fun…Sending a snip of the Half-Life2/hl2/maps folder.

        1. No it does use or require Ep2. I’ve seen your screenshot you sent me and it’s in the right place. Using the underscore won’t help because it’s not part of the map name.

Let me download it and try it. I’ll get back to you.

        2. Okay, this worked for me, so I suggest leaving it in your maps folder and trying it again in a few days.
