It’s approximately 6 hours after Gordon Freeman attacked Nova Prospekt and warped out. The rebellion, taking this as a signal to start the uprising, begins fighting their way into City 17.
You are Julian Cessna, a former police officer before the 7 hour war and combine takeover. You joined the 7th chapter of the rebellion in the northern outskirts of the city. The 7th is pushing south into the centre of C17, but progress is slow due to combine fences and heavy combine presence. Due to your training before the war as a police officer, you are selected for a covert mission deeper into C17. Your goal is to navigate the sewers, get into the town, locate the combine generator and disable it, throwing the northern sector of C17 into turmoil and making navigation for the 7th chapter easier. You have passed the point of no return. The die is cast.

Too short (wanted to keep on killin’).
Good map, though..
OK I’ll admit to not “getting the point” near the beginning. Can’t enter the vent (too small), build an elaborate way to reach the “level 3” platform however just fall through what appears to be a solid walking area after successfully jumping up there (and it doesn’t collapse or anything)? Nice graphics, what little I saw!
Good stuff even though it ends kind of abruptly. After the fight in the garage everything just went dark and I was like “well, I guess that’s the end…” Really great work, though!
Dougjp, you’ll find a ladder in one corner leading to a platform. Sidle along a brown pipe, hop a long acouple of platforms and activate the lever… you’ll then find another ladder has dropped down.
On the whole I thought this map was very well thought out, but it could have done with more combat situations — provided health packs and ammo were up to snuff!
Good layouts and one or two interesting puzzles. Good work, DannyBoy!
Ok as far as it went, which really wasn’t far enough, yet another one of these games that just as you get set it ends. The limited content was good and well put together with the sets design and textures matching the mood such that the surroundings always looked right giving you a realistic feel throughout. The ending was very disappointing just a fad out when all systems were going, so yet another non structured ending, why do they do it, it can’t be difficult just to say “end of chapter one” . I hope we will get more chapters this is a very promising start to something that could develop into a good mod.
