No story?
I played this awhile ago and there really is no story that I can see(If there is its on thier web site and in russian). It has a few bugs here and there but overall not a bad mod.
I honestly didn’t like it too much. If you’re new to playing hl2 sp stuff, then you’ll probably like it a bit. But for me, I just found it kind of aggrevating to find where I had to go next. No story. The 3rd map…every texture turned white for no reason. Music was overlapping in some parts. A few bugs here and there. Pretty noobish stuff, though I have played MUCH worse.
I didn’t think it was bad (even though there was no story). Pretty self explanatory story really. Run, shoot, run, shoot. I didn’t have any problems with white screens & I also didn’t find it hard to find my way around. The bridge was kinda cool even though it was pretty much useless. I thought for sure I was going to get to battle the strider when I heard it booming around. At the train tracks with the ladders, the only problem I had was accessing the last ladder (the short one). Maybe I did it wrong, but there were 2 barrels I tried using to get to it, but with both barrels when I went to place them under the ladder, they sank right through the ground. Was there another way? I was really enjoying the last part of the combine area (especially after you get the souped up gravity gun) but then it just ended.
Goddess, you don’t need the barrels. Just go back up the previous ladder and jump over to the shorter ladder. Anyway, despite the lack of a story and the white textures in the next-to-last map, I thought this was a pretty good effort.
Thanks, that’s what I ended up doing anyway. I just figured the barrels were for there for that purpose but wanted to point out that they were bugged.
good!
little note:
you MUST find gravgun in 1 map!
I’ve just finished paying this and gave it 3/5. I felt it suffered from a common mistake amongst many mappers and that was the idea of trying to change the textures and feel at almost every corner.
I’m sure that many players get bored quickly but I feel that the harsh switches made it lose and sense of reality.
The helicopter took too many rocket hits before it fell which kinda was a pain for me.
I also thought that the last part needed a little more thought. I had already used the energy balls earlier and realized that I needed them right at the end but there was no way to get any others.
One word summary: “Ugh”
I liked the way this mod looked. But it suffered way to much from the technical side.
The loading took longer then the time it took to play the map.
2/5 stars
Did not work for me, not much new, no flow, no story with game play in bits and peices. Download if you are short of a game otherwise read a book, I am trying hard to say something constructed but it wont come, sorry Mr Author.
I have played this through again and I think I my have been a bit hard with my first thoughs. It’s with a download and a play, go see what you think.
Thank you. All right.
Pretty fun! I had a lot of the same problems you all did, but it was still enjoyable.
The mapping, lighting and sound problem would have been cool if he meant to do that…
and then the world continued to morph into some alien world where the walls are bright and…well… just an idea.
I enjoyed using the super gravity gun again. It was super short but well executed.
Did you guy automaticlly kill that combine that walked out of a door but didn’t have a weapon? I did the first time, then re-loaded and followed him to see what he was going to do. But he just walks down the hall and stands there with his arms crossed. I was sure he was going to set up the turrets I knocked over.
Oh, what was with the laser bridge that took you to the other side of the building but you can’t get through due to 3-lazers moving back and forth in the hallway?
I thoroughly enjoyed it. No bugs and some decent combat.
If you get a map that’s all black and white when you arrive, as it did for me, then open the console and type “buildcubemaps” – without the quotes. Then let the software work for a few second, problem solved.
Took me around 60 minutes on first play figuring out where to go next and 20 minutes on second play
Definitely worth a play but no rush as there is better than this.
It’s an EXE file. No thanks.

This mod is a joke. Map layout is very unrealistic especially copypasting portions of City 17 and jumble them into randomness. Not only that but it is also easy to break out of the map, and worst case of all is missing the gravity gun would cause 4th map to break because without one, you’d get a softlock. Seriously, I saw a gravity gun at the screenshots but it’s easy to miss it. In fact, I missed it and that was just my first playthrough. To be honest, I don’t think I’d replay this ever again just to find that gravity gun. I’d say avoid it.
