Since I’ve returned to playing and streaming the Classic of the Month maps last summer, I’ve played a handful that are truly worthy of the “Classic” name. And it’s always been my plan to update the the Hall of Fame when appropriate.
So without further ado, here are the new inductees into the RunThinkShootLive Hall of Fame:
Cayle George updated and expanded his original map into a fantastic, polished classic in 2017. Half-Life: C.A.G.E.D. is the result. Short, sweet, and packed with synthwave from Lazerhawk and offbeat humor, this is a must-play available on Steam.
The first of RTSL’s “Ville” challenges to be added to the Hall of Fame, FusionVille was the final challenge in the 2017 Hammer Cup. Entrants were required to fuse together 3 of 8 previous Ville themes, and resulted in the best Ville ever!
Chuck Wilson’s Year Long Alarm is quite older than the other mods in this Hall of Fame update – but was added to Steam more recently with polishing and updates. It’s a short but sweet Episode Two style experience that’s highly recommended.
This long-awaited mod for Half-Life was finally released in 2018 – and was worth the wait. Echoes is perhaps the grandest version of Black Mesa in the Goldsource engine, and it’s much more than just another jaunt through Black Mesa.
Experienced mapper marnamai released DownFall in 2017 after 2 years of work. Originally intended to be just the start of a multi-chapter mod, even as a standalone experience it’s polished and pretty and worth a play. Available on Steam.
very good !
