You start in a prison cell with a crowbar and vent.
Perhaps guards have given you some sort of drug.
Are you dreaming or is this real?
Does it matter?

I’ve just finished playing this mod and am caught between hating it and loving it. The textures are often misalign and there are plenty of gaps between the edges. The proportions are often strange and the doors drove me crazy.
On the otherhand there are a couple of nice situations that proved to be a real challenge.
ALso there were a few nices uses for health stations. I played on Easy and confess I cheated a few times, for this I blame the author. There’s one part that I couldn’t even imagine beating without GOD mode and this was on easy!!
The last two screenshots are where I gave up because I was so frustrated.
I’m very interested to hear what other players think about this mod, so please comment on it.
Thanks to Lady_tyc and http://www.ceskemody.cz
Mixed emotions about this one and I am leaning towards liking it. I have no idea why I like it other than it sure was different. I too had to resort to cheat mode. Noclip was essential for me. I say give it a try with an open mind.
As soon as I saw the first pool flooded with zombies, I immediately thought, this must be a “fun” map pack. My second thought was “so that’s what was slowing down my computer!”
Overall, a mediocre map pack with nothing really standing out. Expect some gunplay, buttons, and lots of platforming.
Unfortunately, I had to noclip through some areas, specifically, the early crates puzzle and the pink fence of doom. Speaking of oddly coloured areas, this mod kind of goes insane with the textures and colour. I distinctly remember a green outline on a doorway… Oh well, nothing too distracting.
Does not contain any slaughtering of environ-“mental” people.
Even though the mapping is a bit shaky, there really is no noclipping needed. No bugs in the first part, just solve the puzzles. Actually, I found that the best part. The puzzles are just a bit more original and require just a bit more thinking than the ordinary push-button-open-door variety. Unfortunately, it soon deteriorates into a gruntfest with pushbutton puzzles and very mediocre, sometimes ugly decor. I had had enough in map 6 (of 8) and quit.
Who put the smiley for my 8?
This has to be the hardest HL1 mod I have ever finished, I may have given up on harder mods but never finished one this hard. I managed most with out cheat but will be honest and own-up to where I did cheat.
Spoilers coming.
1) Early in the mod there is a series of three jumps to and from rotating cages, could not make the first and needed to noclip.
2) In one of the later levers I had to noclip just to continue. It’s a sequence where from a long rotating board you need to jump to areas 2,3 and 4 in sequence, there is no doubt that this is doable, however, for me each time I did not make a jump the game crashed and I needed to boot my machine. So I suggest you noclip to each area in turn.
3) Having got to the end scene I could no find a way to beat the end boss without cheat, just too hard for me.
With hard puzzles, tough combat and hordes of zombies in places this mod is a real challenge which borders on the can-can’t do depending on your perseverance. Apart from the hardness factor the mod’s set design, textures and lighting are not easy on the eye, with the author seemingly driven by an need to map something different without considering how it would effect players.
Well, I definitely liked this one. And I’m expecting more from the author.
Had only one crash (near a box, for no reason), two places where I would die for no reason, weird mapping in some places, messages in a different language and no story. No connection to the title whatsoever.
Other than that, I liked that it was different, it had nice puzzles, small mazes, good combat, I wasn’t bored at all, couldn’t wait to see what’s next. Haven’t had too many problems with the mapping itself, or the doors. And it’s not that hard as everyone complains 😐 It’s challenging. Finished it with no cheats, on normal. The crossbow came in really handy. There are mods out there way harder and with jumps way more annoying. And there was plenty of health AND ammo/weapons that I never got to use, especially in the last map. I defeated the boss the way I always do, with explosives. This time, cowardly standing on that spinning ledge and throwing things at him. No cheat in that, cus no one said you have to step in the arena with him 😛
Spoiler/hint: the first jump with the rotating cages is very easy if you don’t kill the zombies under you and jump on their heads.
I give it a “Play it later”, for the absence of a story.
A funny modname, just strange maps but a lot of action – that’s K.a.G.!
There’s no (serious) story just puzzles and shoot through several maps, hit some switches to trigger open the way for continuing this odd mod.
It mostly is indoor, including mazes, poor detailed areas and at last some Xen-like zone.
Can you reach the last switch to end this odyssey?
Pro’s:
-Lot of action
-Every original HL weapon and lot of ammo for all of them available
-Some more or less good puzzles
-Interesting beginning
Con’s:
-Very odd leveldesign
-Mean placed enemies
-Tricky jumpskills required – therefore sort of high difficulty
-No story
-Balancing
-Weird feeling when playing at all times
Firstly, I made up the introduction about the drug. If there is a story you can ignore it.
Secondly, this could have been called Kill All GreenBlueRedYellowPeace as it’s one of those maps that loves colours.
Essentially, it’s a series of areas which you must clear of enemies. The level changes are terrible and often it’s very square.
So why did I recommend a MAYBE then? Because I felt some sections were quite inventive, yes, yes, others were terrible and the jumping section at the end was horrible and I noclipped past it.
From a gameplay point of view it could be good practice but overall it’s not very good.

“Escape from the jail and kill the enemy.”
…First things first. Don’t read into the plot of this mod at all because there isn’t one. It’s simply a series of killboxes and jumping sections and frankly shouldn’t have been released as a “mod” at all. For a mod released in 2006, the mapping is abysmal and there are several sections where you NEED to use noclip to progress.
The only real use of this mod is as an endurance test if you play through on Hard difficulty, but don’t expect to enjoy it.

I liked this little mod despite the rough edges. The gameplay has some sections that are pretty fun to work through. Some of the maps though are clunky and missing textures. The only part I didn’t think was good was the boss battle at the end. But everything else was achievable if difficult. Map transitions were not done well, and who leaves a crowbar in a prisoner’s cell, anyway? But this will give you a bit of fun if you overlook the imperfections.

Of the two maps that were just posted this one is definitely nowhere near as good as the Drug cartel one.
The individual areas were sometimes really interesting and very fun to look at, but mostly made no sense put together, and *definitely* had plenty of issues being PUT together – level transitions were horrible.
There are a lot of things wrong with the mapping – the doors were all … um, minuscule? And sometimes made of the wrong texture? Or maybe that was on purpose, but it felt like there was no rhyme or reason to almost all of the interiors.
I did play much of it on god mode, and did noclip a few difficult bits after a good long bunch of tries. Hanging cage crates…. no idea what was up with that room, but not a chance of me solving it. Not even sure what was up with the colorful cube rooms but they were *very* pretty.
Disjointed, way too difficult for the most part, with puzzles that… I don’t even know what was up with most of them. But still, effort was put into at least a fun romp and killing things.
The ‘urban buildings’ combat was extremely challenging, and I think among the better of the fights. With as much ammunition sitting around and the variety of weapons in use, it wasn’t impossible to finish, but was definitely harder than ‘medium’ would imply.

This mod had plenty of combat and “rooms” to be an OK Play it Later. If you’re looking for combat here you’re going to get it for sure.
Though quality is not a standard in this mod. Indeed all of the maps in there are quite ugly and boxy, puzzles are into the line of “press the button or the buttons” like and textures are a sucide to the eyes.
Nevertheless I found some areas fun to play and combat against the enemies, I liked the fact we have full ammo and secondary ammo in the M16 gun, and we have almost all weapons available from the beginning to the end.
Yeah, I guess that’s it. I think if you are a picky player you may think this deserves a lower recommendation, but if you like nonsense mayhem and combat for HL1 sure here you’ll get it.

;This is one of those mods that I played a long time ago, but for reasons unknown I didn’t beat it. Erasing the mod then was a good move.
The gameplay is alright, but the biggest problem is with the mapping and the combat. The combat is FUCKING HORRIBLE. Especially when you reach map 5 I think, the mapping is some of the hardest I’ve ever seen. And no, it’s not that challenging but fair mapping, it’s the cheap I-put-1000-enemies-in-a-single-map type of mapping. Also, in the final maps, I thought I would get color blind.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it. I think the name of the recommendation fits this one perfectly; Think Twice.
After lots of years and I’m writing comments for this. What is wrong with me?
Anyway, I just finished playing this and beat it in one day. It’s hard for sure, but I’ve seen harder one(I’m talking about black death). Also, last boss can be defeated. I just stand outside the boss room and feed some grenades to gargantua, and bang it goes, then the end.
If you think this mod is too hard, don’t try black death.

Oh my god, how did this thing make it here? 😀 I remember sending it by an e-mail to the admin of ceskemody.cz. I am the author, so I will write some trivia here…
First of all, this game was literally made by a 13 year old – 13 year old me who just recently learned he can make maps for games. It took less than 2 weeks to make (I remember making a schedule – making one map every day, implementing tutorials from ceskemody.cz as I go).
You actually do not need noclip to complete any of the puzzles (although you can break the puzzles if you do something wrong at the beginning). For example one puzzle requires you to drop one box on top of another, if you drop the box to the ground you cannot complete the puzzle anymore.
There are three .doc files in the mod directory, the content is in Czech and since it has a terrible grammar trying to use google translate on it is probably futile…
The Info.doc contains some general info, my email address (feel free to abuse it, its my spam address now :D) and it also contains an apology for the mod being terrible (yea, apparently I was that self aware xD).
The Návod-nečíst!!!.doc contains a step by step walkthrough including a map to a small labyrinth in the 6th level.
And finally PŘÍBĚH.DOC is the “story” – I will attempt to make sense of it and translate:
“The world is controlled by greenpeace, which preaches that even zombies and other ungodly beasts have the right to live and thrive. Their leader Franta (who mutated a little to be able to better understand the monsters) has billions of fanatic followers and the few that dare to challenge him are locked up in jail. Your task is to stop Franta’s terrible plans according to which the planet Earth should change to planet Zombie, so everyone will finally be equal.” (I think that 1984 feel to it is purely coincidental, I had no idea what I was writing about…)
So much nostalgia came up when I was playing it today. I still have to give it “avoid it” since it really is pure crap – yea, you can shoot stuff, but you can also do that in other, much better mods. While I am the author, it has been 10 years since I last played the map pack and I almost forgot about its existence…
