This small experience is certainly fun to play trough it’s not challenging progression is quite obvious in a not too linear way the only puzzle beeing some jump to perform. Design is simple but quite enjoyable. It disapoints a little bit by missing of sound or music that could add a more trilling atmosphere and certainly by a challenging end (think it was planned to see the last part). Wort to play trough for 15 to 20 min of correct enjoyment
Nearly as dark as Doom. Helps to include the flashlight in your gear.
Not a bad map, certaintly enjoyable for the 10 to 15 minutes it lasted. The extreme darkness was annoying at times but the flashlight recharges so quick its not much of a problem. The main problem I have with it is right off the bat you clear the alley your in, turn the corner and suddenly there are 2 or 3 Zombies behind you. Zombies dont move fast, so… where did they come from? There are also a few weird placements of things that make for a good puzzle but an illogically set up warehouse.
All in all a fun map; worth the download.
Cheers
David
Jen nais se pas means “what will I do.” (I think.) Just in case anyone was curious.
It actually means “I don’t know”
je ne sais pas means “I don’t know”
Hmmm. I remembered it from a song… “Je suis perdu” or “je ne se plus” must be “what will I do”
andyb is right:
“Je ne sais pas” means “I don’t know”.
Forget about “what will I do”, you just didn’t understand the song you remember…
Number of Maps: 1
Score: 3.5 out of 5
Annoyance Rating: 2.1138762 (Claustrophobics need not apply, thus they enjoy suffering psychological pain in the name of all that halfing of life)
Lighting: Dark in the presence of zombies, light in the presence of everyone else.
Architecture: Decent, if not cramped in some places.
Textures: Decent.
New Models/Skins/Etc.: Yes! Yes! YES!… Wait.. No, no, no.
Gameplay: Zombie ambushing, combine duelling, headcrab baseball.
Story?: You are Gordon “Drunken Handbasketmaker” Freeman, king of the bad-things-to-happen and saviour/destroyer of mankind. You are somewhere for some reason (again) and armed with your trusty crowbar. Let’s prove those anti-violence heterosexual single moms wrong!
Onwards: What’s up, dawgs?
*cough* So, I downloaded Jenesaispas4 (try saying that three times fast) for no specific reason. It was the latest map out there, so I thought why not, I feel like wasting a few minutes of my life. Oh, so, the title has absolutely nothing to do with the mod, but who cares! Lets roll with this!
My first thought arrayed to the beginning. The architecture is primarily maze-like and compact. This is due to the fact that zombies are attempting to poorly perform tactical manoeuvres. It doesn’t really matter, considering that the only combative weapon you have is a crowbar. But if you are claustrophobic, you may want to play this map blind.
That being said, your enemy is mostly of the zomborific kind. You mostly face them with your trusty crowbar, pausing to smash them over the head with an arm chair when the opportunity presents it’s self. Headcrabs answer to your crowbar nice enough, whenever they come up. Combine come at a later time, throwing themselves in force at you in a short burst, before answering to your flock of orchestrated bullets.
Also, scripted events mostly deal with you conducting a vertical movement, usually downwards. The man here apparently has the compulsive obsessive need to suddenly drop things and people for effect. The demoness of bad luck haunting your every step. Scary.
Summary: It’s decent. It’s slightly better then decent, but it is essentially decent. Nothing awesome, nothing bad. Just a whole lot of crowbar swinging, back stepping and headcrab dodging.
Quite long for just one map. I liked it. Not much fighting, mainly exploring. Looks good graphically. Stupid end.
When a couple of zombies spawned behind me from a completely empty area I was a little worried this wouldn’t be much fun, but I was wrong.
You are moved around a few plain and simple areas but it’s interesting enough to keep you guessing.
The main stairway area could have been a little more fun with some manhacks or even a headcrab or two but it was still fun to play.
Overall, I enjoy it and recommend you play it.

nice little map to play without problems under linux
Wait, so what do I do with the folder? Is it a sourcemod, is it for HL2 is it for HL2E1?
A surprisingly pleasant and fun map.
This map is kind of your average HL2 map. You have the zombies, the Combine, the rebels and the dark atmospheric setting, which I always like. I thought that the zombies coming from behind you would be annoying, but really, it’s not. There are no negatives to talk about really but there wasn’t anything different from your average HL2 map for a Personal Favorite recommendation.
Overall, this is a pretty fun map to play and I recommend it to everyone.
A perfect PL. Though I missed a story, context or background. At the end you reach a resistance squad, and I didn’t know why the heck the story ended up with a rebel guy dying on the floor. Possibly a sequel?
The combat was fun and the whole map fluent in a linear progression. Also the map layout is nicely done.
So Play it later if you look for some few minutes fun.

It starts slowly, making you run away from overwhelming zombie attacks, but once you get the big guns the action starts. The sense of familiarity will be continiously switching between Route Kanal – Ravenholm, which is where the author seems to have brought inspiration from.
I found it quite useless to place a recharging health/HEV station right at the end but like many of you said there might’ve been a sequel planned which never got to see the light of day.
I absolutely loved the setting and the idea of an infested city. You’ll never believe how much can a simple skybox, although briefly revealed, change your reception towards a map.

Small, simple and entertaining experience.
The start of the mod is a little slow, especially if you decide to fight familiar to us all slow-walking but hard-hitting zombies with your trusty crowbar instead of running through them. Some later encounters with zombies were fun though. The moment where you go down the stairs in a room where you can clearly see one zombie resting in piece on the floor (an everyone knows that he’s gonna wake up as soon as you walk closer to him) was quite entertaining – as soon as you step down the stairs to hit that pretending lier, you get surprised by unexpected hit from his smaller friend.
Some corridors were too claustrophobic but gladly that does not last long. As soon as you meet forces of Alliance the real action starts. Combat encounters with Combine Soldiers weren’t really something special but yet they felt somewhat fresh. I think the author knew what kind of bullet-sponges Soldiers are so just when you expect it to get boring and repetitive the map ends.
My only complain about this map would be the difficulty – there’s always plenty of health and ammunition around every corner which makes every enemy encounter not challenging at all.

There is parkour. good fights, well placed enemy spawns and YOU CAN HEADCRAB BASEBALL!
8.5/10 would kill a soldier with a sofa and then put annother sofa on him.

Ignoring that ending… which is an ULTRA shame that doesn’t make any sense!! This is a really good map with emphasis on an atmospheric adventure rather than simple battles. It’s not perfect however and I’d have like more integrated battles but what is there, is good. And with a few hidden moments to make you jump! I was quite surprised just how much I did enjoy this map. Highly recommended for a game.
OK map. OK game play. Worth one run through. Had potential.

Short and sweet map with great design though a bit light on the action. 15 minutes well spent.
