A partial conversion of an underground lab where scientists have been experimenting on a new drug to wipe out all forms of infection that humans can aquire.
“I was required to make a Half-Life 2 level for a University project. We had 3 months roughly to complete the level and with 2 weeks to go, I threw in what I had done and started over. I had never made a full complete level before, although I had messed around with Hammer for years and years prior to the task so I knew what I was doing. It is a Sci-Fi themed game, you are in an underground lab where scientists have been experimenting on a new drug to wipe out all forms of infection that humans can acquire. Look out for audio logs left around the level, indicated with a red flashing light, these contribute to a back story so you know exactly what is going on, and they also give you hints and tips on how to proceed. Installation is quite simple, just extract the supplied folder into your SourceMods section in your Steam folder, restart Steam and it will be in your games list. Enjoy :)”

Well, where to start? Yes, those are Doom 3 textures. I really dislike that approach but sometimes it happens and there’s not much point complaining because it will continue to happen.
One small problem is that really didn’t like Doom 3 anyway, so this one was going to struggle to impress me. I found the whole thing just a little like it was trying to make me like it but was trying too hard. If that makes sense.
Pity about the missing sound file because that could have been a really good time to create the atmosphere.
The voice acting wasn’t great, I’ve certainly heard worse but the actual script was boooooring, as I like to say. Shock! Horror An experiment goes wrong and the whole lab becomes infected. Shock! Horror! After a while I didn’t even bother listening to the messages, I just started them and carried on.
The story should have been told on the lift down, not during the game. Come to think of it, I don’t remember any music. Music is what can really make the atmosphere.
I don’t know how to get past the Lab door, I just “no clipped” through. Please let me know when you find the answer.
I found the ending really quite hard, even with all the barrels and crates on the floor.
5 Words Or Less Review
Unfortunately, too much like Doom3.
The lab door switch, for reasons strange, is on a column in the room with the above floor walkway. You were attacked by a speed zombie on the walkway. It is also the room where you access the armoury. You’ll need your torch to see the switch.
Anyway, it’s OKish. Worth a play when your really bored. Smacking zombies on the head with a tyre lever is getting a bit tiresome.
Amaziingly large download for so little game.
Sorry, forgot. One of PPs slideshow screen shots shows the speed zombie in the room with switch for the lab door.
I’m starting to get a little annoyed at crappy looking maps ppl. Don’t forget cubemaps, playtesting, replaytesting, and make sure you do a nice job on the lighting. Use spotlights! And dont” forget the new lighting view feature in hammer. (I know it’s not great, but it helps me tweak my lighting.)
The Doom 3 textures look really strange without the bump maps and just doesn’t fit into the Half-Life 2 world. Not much to look at either since he doesn’t make use of prop models at all except for wall lights (which were really overdone) and a chair which looked totally out of place with the general sci-fi look.
I felt the voice acting and writing were generally quite good but I didn’t care much for what they said.
Strangely I found these shotgun shell boxes lying around but never found a shotgun to use them with. All you ever get is a crowbar, a pistol and way too scarce with ammo.
Empty rooms with a few zombies for you to shoot is basically what this mod is all about. Sorry, but nothing original or even fun about this mod in my opinion.
The screenshot slideshow is now working, sorry for the delay.

Screenshots are rather interesting =)
Can the roof gun turrents be destoryed? If so, how?
Don’t waste your time, unless your desperate for a mod…
If you’re looking for a Half-Life 2 mod, this ain’t one; but it’s something to do for 30-60 minutes.
I never found a shotgun or SMG. Presumably the security guys may have had them, hence the ammo–if so, where’d they go?
At the end, I just ignored the turrets and ran. Took too much ammo to break one.
The one thing I really didn’t like was that you couldn’t listen to a voice recording more than once, unless you saved and reloaded right before. Most of them were pointless, and I’m not sure the one near the reactor had any needed information anyway, but it still would have been a nice option.

Recommendation was removed, you have to at least write a reaction or basic thoughts on the experience.
Well, this appears to have a decent gameplay but not very fun. In fact it is very easy, only zombies and ceiling turrets but to be fair, I barely had any difficulties with them all. I kinda wasted my time more on navigation and puzzles. An example is the lab door where it was used to be locked. How to unlock it? Well push the button. Where to find the button is very obscure because it is located right near the catwalk where you encounter the first fast zombie which is where you enter the security room. The ending is easy too, but it’s confusing because I’ve thought I have to backtrack all the way back to the start but the escape route turns to be different. Voice acting is meh. Ngl, I didn’t listen the log entries at all so I have no idea what the story is about. It gets to the point where I get to play two log entries simultaneously which is hilarious because they sound gibberish. In summary, combat is easy, level design is okay, navigations and puzzles are confusing, and the voice acting is very bland.
I almost forgot, the red lighting in the reactor room seems to be screwed up for me because I think it looks like a sprite more than a light because they blind me from aiming at ceiling turrets. Idk if it’s my fault but what I did was editing the gameinfo.txt to play it on HL2EP2 instead of sourcesdk or whatever.
