I’m getting the pink-black checkered hue in some of the textures. Am I missing files?
me too…
Hm, this might require Lost Coast to be installed. If possible can you install that and re-check?
I have Lost Coast installed. I thought that my problem comes from something different; I have Steam installed under Wine on Arch Linux (steam thinks that I’m running Windows 8.1 or 7 or whatever version I choose) but the other mods look fine.
It seems that’s a Radeon issue. On another machine with Nvidia graphic card the problem is not present anymore. At least for me.
Yep. I have Raedon. This is a first time issue for me.
Sorry? For what? If there aren’t any new mods it isn’t your fault.
I think there will be enough new stuff in the future.
Or do you have a guilty conscience, because of no MAP-TAP Halloween competition this year?
This is just a speculation, no judging or anything else like that.
Don’t mind.
In my opinion we users can be happy about the site not being closed down without Phil.
I wish you a happy halloween!
This is really just one map with the files needed to make it into a mod. I liked the old church environment in the above ground part. The underground areas were pretty plain without much combat. Decent quality but you will finish it quickly.

Runs under Linux after lowercase all files..
A fun little map with a Lost Coast style.
If you ask me the best aspects of this mod was the combat and some of the brushwork.
The combat was mostly pretty fun and there was always enough ammo/suitpower/health lying around. A bit too much though I think, as I found the map to be a bit easy.
The brushwork/geometry overall was really nicely done (except for that one spiral staircase). I’d say it makes up for the kind of underwhelming visuals.
Overall, a perfect “Play It Later”, so to say.

A short but thoroughly competent little custom level. Nothing ground-breaking but it manages everything it sets out to do.
Brush and texture work is nice, good attention to detail on often overlooked things like building frames (covering up wall corner joins, for example) and seeing the Lost Coast materials in a new context re-captures the feel of LC.
Combat is short but enjoyable – lots of good use of cover by NPCs and the fights across catwalks/ramps are a welcome change of pace.
Only real criticism is the yard area used for the final battle could have used a lot more detail and props as it feels very bare and means the final encounter is pretty much just a Zergling rush of Combine soldiers. The direction at the start could have been improved as well, to better direct the player to the crowbar pickup and where to go after that (as it is, they are at opposite ends of the building, which seems like a poor choice to me).

I quite enjoyed this. The church part felt good but, like the rest of the map, it needed more pickups and a few more enemies. Especially so in the underground area which, to me, didn’t fit in with the rest of the map. The battle at the end was okay but a bit dull, especially visually in a massively wide-open environment which needed more detail. Overall, a few more enemies and this would have been a corker. Nice though. Enjoyed it.
I found the overall story and action to be good. I’d like to see it expanded so that the story can continue. I’d play it again and probably will.

Fun to play map that could have been part of a back on track mapping lab
recommanded for a 10-15 min experience

Short, but nice. Combine architecture under a church? I’ve never seen this before. 😀
