I have mixed feelings about this map. It’s a nice idea but the actual amount of gameplay is way too short. I am sure that some would argue that all the map needs to do is demonstrate that the concept works. And I would agree with that, but demonstrating for a couple of minutes is not the same as demonstrating for 10 minutes.
This could definitely be part of something bigger and if you take the time to read the LDD on the author’s website, you will see that it seems to have been designed that way.
Anyway, it’s over way too quickly and takes a few tries to really get the hang of firing.
Might be worth your time if you like to try new mechanics.
About as much fun as using a Magnusson device, but at least the author tried to do something different!
From the authors website it appears this was done in his last at Guildhall, in principle I liked this for trying something, even if it wasn’t much fun. It gave the impression of being something from a theme park, I’d have preferred to have a stack of exploding barrels and the gravity gun.
Play it just for the sake of playing it but don’t expect anything more than a couple of minutes play.
I don’t know maybe my idea of fun is appart from throwing explisve barrels to the zombies, this is obvious a really experimental map, and nothing interesting happen if u play it or not, I mean the dynamics are quite new but nothing from the other world, or really exciting neither, so play this if u are tired of combat, this is a very guidhall, a very experimental mod.
The gameplay was short, but at least it was fun which is obviously what it was made for.
It took me a while to fully get the controls, but it was a very unique and fun idea. You take control of a cannon that fires explosives barrels which you have to load and fire at the oncoming zombie hoard. You can also choose which direction to fire it in (something which took me a long time to figure out) and adjust the distance of where they are thrown. It is very short however and just when you think you are getting started, it’s over. It is pretty tough, and I only just about did it myself.
Worth a try, and new game mechanics are always a nice addition.
