Your objective is the F-15 hangar.
To get to it you need to pass through a number of aggressive obstacles.
Reaching the hangar is only part of the battle, getting inside also requires some thinking.
Good Luck, Freeman.

The first map is definitely the weaker of the two but it’s not particularly long or troublesome.
The second map is actually quite fun to play, but nothing worthy of a PLAY IT recommendation.
I managed to stop the fan without opening the door, can you?
Ignoring the first map, it’s about 8 minutes of fun.

Short 2 maps with soldiers. Basically there’s two areas to get thru, and there are some puzzles involved. Nothing really special here. Agree with phillip.
It seems unusually hard until you figure the sequence/ways to do it. And you do that by getting killed. A few of the puzzles are mildly entertaining, but that’s about it.

Another low qual. HL1 map!!!!! Gosh I think I’ll seriously take a rest from this kind
HL1 maps…..
The first map has some strange design choices and wasn’t that interesting. I actually liked the second map and the challenge about how to bring down the chopper. Overall it’s a maybe

God I’m really getting tired of this poor quality HL1 maps I’ve played here in RTSL. Its strange because I usually like to play HL1 maps, but lately many of them that I have recommended, look pretty similar, regarding boxy mapping, poor design, faulty or poor combat, and quite short that they’re almost not worthy to play.
Here with Freeman escape, sadly we don’t have an exception between the other poor HL1 maps. Here basically we have a first map which is very, ugly and bad designed; and a second map which is the main arena where you have to kill some grunts, 2 vortigaunts, and a helicopter; now, this second map is better than the first one and quite enjoyable, but the whole thing is very predictable and pretty much linear until you reach the F15.
Yeah that’s all I can say, if I could place a recommendation to this 2 maps separately, I’d say the 1st is a think twice; and the second a perfect play it later; so that’s to me a perfect Maybe? recommendation.
That’s it, im pretty tired of HL1 now, I think I’ll seriously give that game a rest and play some L4D2 custom campaigns in order to try something different until my HL1 nostalgia is back, for now it has been for me, just too much lacky HL1 maps….

I didn’t think this was a bad pair of maps, actually. They were *hard*, considerably harder than a ‘medium’ difficulty might suggest. However, it allowed me a little tactical thinking, and that is important to me. That it gave me pause for thought on how to cross the mine field, how best to take out enemies in that overlook structure… I kinda liked that.
Yes, it was fugly, but there was actually quite a bit going on in both parts. Not terrible. Playable, not filled with bugs either.

This map didn’t really deserve the reception it got. I mean, it’s not really high quality stuff but it’s not mediocre either. It’s perfect for PIL.
The first map was really annoying, simply because the map itself was really small, especially for 8-10 grunts. The second map was nicer, but there was too much open space and the mines were basically not there. It’s a fairly enjoyable map, but don’t expect anything big happening.
It has some stealth strategy, just crawl and jump over laser trips and your reward is an soldier showing his back. Sadly we can’t keep eliminating them one by one from the back because they will be warned when you get close to the bunker. The mines can’t be triggered by shooting bullets or explosives. It’s the first time seing this. Inside the track has lightning button. Did he installed that button inside the truck?? And that mounted turret, wow, how many bullets it misses, it is like shooting to the sides of the target.
