You start in a large, bland room. Collect your ammo and HEV suit and let the action begin!
This is a “player’s” mappack.
Basically, it’s all about the gameplay. The layout and design is not meant to be real at all.
You just have to fight army grunts and keep going forward.

I called this a “player’s” mappack because there is no story, no location design, no flow or balance. You just have to kill the grunts. It’s not even possible to run past them into something else, because the something else is more grunts.
As you can see, I played on MEDIUM and I reached the outside are before I had to turn on GOD mode. I wish I could beaten it without it, but it was just too hard for me.
Once you reach the outside, there’s no ending to the map.
I used the MAYBE recommendation because if you like a challenge, then this is for you. However, if you enjoy exploring and realistic locations I would suggest avoiding it.

Very hard because the player is not given the glock. Health and armor are spaced far apart and there are lots of soldiers in some sort of single texture castle looking area. I never would have known it’s a castle until I went outside and saw the ‘castle’ texturing and the ‘moat’. Speaking of which, if you actually get that far, that’s the ending section.
After the first minute and a half took me to 9 hp, I switched god mode on and even then was surprised at the beating I took.
Not a great map, but hey if you like the challenge of being shot at from extremely improbable and very, very hard to hurt enemies, go for it.

Ugh, classic terrible gruntfest here. I think I saw a grand total of 6 textures in the map and that’s being generous. It’s unrealistic, linear, and brutally challenging (but not in a good way).
The health is way too sparse and often there’s no cover from the dozens of grunts you’ll face. I hate cheating but I also had to turn on god mode – I don’t for a decent challenge but I do if it’s unfair.
That sums up this map in a word: “unfair.” And a second word: “Avoid.”

This was a hardcore mappack arena style. Is very, very hard so be warn; actually there are 2 health and power stations in all the maps so I finished this only with 9 health and 0 HEV charge!!!
If you don’t like unbalanced maps where there’s plenty of combat and little health I guess you’re gonna hate this. But as for me i quite enjoy it because it was like a hardcore pure HL1 grunt combat training.
You know, there are not much things to say about this one overall; mapping was boxy and those textures were kind of odd, and make feel you were into another universe; definitely not a HL scenario. But all the way I just take this mod as an arena style one. So is just that, I guess i just can’t judge it by its flaws, because to me it looks like the developer just want to place some intense combat inside those peculiar maps.
I also beat it without cheats, so i guess that’s why i kind of enjoy the whole mayhem in there!

I’m pretty surprised how good the rating of this map is. It has nothing to offer.
It’s just running around shooting grunts in a building that makes no sense and only uses one texture (metal). That is until you get outside and see the second and last texture (stone bricks). There really isn’t much more to say. The whole thing is just a big trap – grunts (a lot of them) are behind every corner and health is usually scarce.
Over the top gunplay with some pretty poor mapping. At least it’s playable, therefore “Think Twice”.
P.S. Why the hell “Freeman”? That makes no sense. Wasn’t “MyFirstMap1” available that day?

HL crashes when I enter the 2nd map. It’s weird because when I open the map with the console, everything’s fine.
Again post it after a year. I found out this whole thing is ridiculous. First, when I load to the second map it glitched out so I use the command, which leads to no HEV suit. What’s more is the grunts are everywhere in that map. I finished it after like 16 minutes in that map with a bit health that a single grunt can kill me in a bullet(1~3 health maybe?).
I really need to take some rest from HL mods now.

Action packed for certain, but after a while it got really boring, just room after room filled with grunts and killing them.
There’s not enough health and patience to play on Hard. It’s like when someone gives a shotgun against soldiers, it’s like the developer tries to screw your life. A charged shotgun do not always kills a grunt in close on Hard and if you have to hunt them from far away, well, maybe you could make them hold on shooting back. But they shoot back, so no way to play on hard.
