    Think Twice

No games as such just shoot setting-ducks in the form of HL aliens. The author early work such as this was all a bit pointless, however, you need to start and learn somehow with this author going on to make a few descent maps/mods such as the Resistance series, Retaliation and Dark Operations.

But this one is not worth the download just part of a learning curve.

  4. 2muchvideogames

it’s not much of a “hunt” when all the beta monsters are lined up in the hallway

  5. Think Twice

Single “showcase” map of creatures and items that hasn’t made it into the final version of HL. No combat, puzzles or goal.
It’s a larger room where you can pick up any original HL weapon and start shooting the creatures. Some have death animations, some not.
Most of the creatures seen here can be found in other HL1 mods, so you’ve probably seen them (working) already.
There are also some items to watch or grab, like the old HEV charger, air tank or key card.
That’s it already. Only worth to check out if you’re new to HL1 and haven’t played user maps or modifications yet.

This is not a real single-player level; but since it doesn’t support deathmatch or coop, then I guess you can only play it in SP mode. All said, I still don’t see much a point for releasing this.

Extinct Lifeforms Hunt would be a fairly accurate title for this download if you take away the word “hunt”. Nothing happens in this map, although you get plenty of weapons. Basically, you’re in a room with many of the Half-Life lifeforms that were cut from the game. Unfortunately, they’re not fully developed either. Besides one exception, none of them even move, and some don’t have a dying animation either so you get no satisfaction for killing.

I guess it might be interesting for some to see the freakshows that never made it, but that still doesn’t remove the fact that this level is a waste of time. Fortunately the small download means you won’t be wasting a lot of time, so if you’re desperately bored and never seen these Half-Life oddities before then go ahead and get this. Just don’t expect anything from it, gibbing a stationary stealth bomber is perhaps the highlight of the addon :).

  7. Think Twice

This is a tricky one to rate fairly. The map was setup as a simple showcase of unused assets included in the retail release of Half-Life. There’s no gameplay as such, but you can shoot most of these creatures dead.

I would argue that the map could have been made a little more attractive, like an actual facility showing off these unique lifeforms, but alas, it’s just simple box rooms.

I would say think twice. Check it out if you’re not already aware of these cut monsters two decades after Half-Life’s release.

  8. Avoid It!

Just shows off some unused NPC models, not worth it.

  9. Think Twice

It like dev room map, just showcase unused models

  10. Maybe?

It’s not a mod. It’s a gallery full of not used animated animals. I recommend you to use the crossbow and zoom in to look on them closer and you will find yourself more suitable doing this rather than destroying everyone. Still I think the flying creatures can be destroyed by any means. Before using explosives take in mind the radius of explosion and the devastating effect is going to make to this poor animals.
