It’s not a bad first map but as with 99% of them, the rooms are unconnected and it just feels like a few areas put together.

There’s little feedback that can help because in cases like this the author is practising rather than trying to craft an interesting level.

It’s quite fun to play and if the author can create realistic settings then I would look forward to more from them.

    5 Words Or Less Review
    Playable but lacking realism

  2. Maybe?

Very definitely check the reviews first!
Lower your expectations before playing and you’ll be fine and you’ll enjoy yourself – just once.
I did not mind the layout, not bad actually. No bugs either. The texturing is just boring.
A very big no no, Pelikoira. The last room of zombies is connected with an open passage to a room with Combine. In the retail games and mods by experienced modders, Combine and Zombies are kept apart by barricades.
For a first released map – I can but hope to do as well.

If it is a first map, then well done!
There are a few inconsistencies, as mentioned above, but overall it’s quite playable and I enjoyed it.

Just one question – when you find a dead Gman – is that the end???

If so, then that’s the worst thing about it. Nothing worse than wandering about looking for some way to progress when it is not clear it is the end.

      Yes. That was the end.

At that point I didn’t know how to end the level in right way…

      1. When I finished it, the GMan was not dead

  4. Maybe?

it’s a fist attempt with minor puzzle in the first room, after it’s a progress and fight in a classic way with minor intretsing according design but this map as a first shows some potential and I hope the author will continue mapping and incease his skill

  5. Maybe?

    Pretty short map.

I couldn’t figure out why no one complained about the long ramp, since I died the first time. Then I started dragging crates to help break my fall/slide and got bored with that so I noclipped. THEN, I replayed it and just went slower…

What’s interesting is that the first time through, by the time I got to G-Man he was dead. The second time, he was alive. (Maybe it was a time issue, since I was more efficient/faster against the Combine on my second play. I also noclipped in areas I’d already successfully navigated the first time.)

Well, as any beginner map there are some natural flaws. The developer wants to experience the level built and play with some textures though they are not realistic nor logical.

I like the CMB part, I think that’s the part which at least worth the effort, is more like a shooting gallery with some CMB soldiers in there…

The zombies were just dumb and offer almost not challenge but is ok, the author also want to experience to put some AI guys in there.

Overall is a map to play when mod or maps production is pretty low, like this October 2013 is…

OH by the way!! is very important to at least signal THE END of the map, so the next time you do a new map is properly indicated, indeed that dead G-MAN was cool, but you could’ve pointed like some, “that’s the end folks” or so…

So play it latter it feels OK.
