Dooleus Arena 3

for Half-Life 2

31st July 2010

Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half-Life 1, 2 and Episodes 1, 2 and 3

A grey and orange textured arena where you must kill as many enemies as possible before you die.

There’s a kill counter to keep score. I reached 8473 before I died. Wait, sorry I meant 8.

Generally I like grey and orange textured maps; they make me concentrate on gameplay and layout not visuals but I didn’t enjoy this particular release.

The idea of simply killing enemies ot increase my score is very boring for me but you may love it. I found the layout to be too linear, at least with other arenas you can move around, here you just had a raised ammo/health room and an area to fight in below.

The enemies followed you into the room, so you could just stay there if you wanted to.

Anyway, if you like arenas you may enjoy this one.

I have played every arena by Dooleus. Not because I’m fond of arenas because I’m not.
The pleasure has been watching Dooleus” mapping skills improve over the last year or so. This culminated with the best arena map “Antlion Survival’

This map is a huge backward step in my eyes and very disappointing.
Out of morbid interest, I played but swiftly got bored after a dozen kills.

    You’re better than this Dooleus.
