Appearance/Gameplay:
It’s only a showcase because this map was the submit on a contest. So I try to rate this as I would had if I were a member of the jury for the contest:
The brushwork is good although not perfect. Especially things like the bookshelf and some debris, where the author used vertex manipulation not properly. Some textures are taken directly from Half-Life, what is in generally not a problem, but looks just weird in a church (even a ruin of a church). The lightning is a bit below average. Highlighting is a very hard lesson with the Half-Life engine. Surely not the winner but maybe a good 4th place. 😉
Conclusion:
Irrelevant, because this is not a map or mod made for playing (at least not at this stage).
For the same reasons, there isn’t a rating.
No game as such, see above. Nice piece of design and use of textures and an interesting use of light in places, however, that’s it just one well designed set.
This is only a emty map without any enemies/weapons. But it could be a perfect Counter-Strike map!
