The end of 2020, at last. We can only hope for a better 2021. But before the year goes, one more Classic of the Month. This time I picked one from the Half-Life 2 side of the tracks – Year Long Alarm by Chuck Wilson, which somewhat recently got a Steam release.
I’ll be streaming this Sunday December 27th, about 12pm (noon) Eastern US Time (5pm in the UK, 6pm Central Europe).
Twitch is again the streaming platform! The stream will be on the RunThinkShootLive Twitch Channel.
Check the Time & Date.Com website for your local time. See you there!
It sucks that this mod no longer supports Linux
It works for me. This is the link for the mod (as a .zip file) with linux .so flies:
https://www.transfernow.net/lMWbi4122020
It will be available for a few days from now. I hope it works for you too. I have two linux laptops (ati/amd and intel/nvidia) and it runs smoothly on both of them.
Thanks
It’s off-topic but I’d like to wish all of you a covid-free year and all your dreams come true!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
…Also off topic but I’d really hoped that someone would have released something new and good for the festive period, but alas…Happy New Year anyway…
Thank you!!1
Thanks to all who contribute to this site….its really hard keeping the HL flame going these days but mods like this one remind me of the great days where we lived and modded in the hope it was just filling the time before the new release that we all craved.
At 64 now I still play solely HL mods and wont touch another game …. any resources are good resources to me ….keep posting and playing and have a great 2021
I’m glad to see another “BOOMER” here I’ll be 75 in a few days!! I’ve been here since 2006 and at one time my collection rivaled Phillips, until my BU drive crashed!! Oh well! Keep playing we can’t let the young ones have all the fun!!!!👍
BTW “HL flame” I’m working to make HL mods run under Linux and Mac. I have now over 250 HL1 mods (including mappacks transformed to mods) who run on linux machines and (most of them) on Mac. Unfortunately some of the best mods (e.g. POKE646) with custom dlls are not compatible with Linux or Mac.
I think I’ll need a few weeks more and all the stuff will be ready (over 25 GB of mods). For me it’s a way of killing free time, maybe for some of you it could be usefull. I allways had the feeling that I was taking a lot from the community and gave nothing in return. I’m waiting for some feed-back from you, guys.
