Introduction I’m sure we’ve all experienced something similar to this: I’m playing a game or mod and something happens that the first time is quite cool and then from that point forward the level designer thinks I need to see it at almost every turn.

Real Lives
Introduction In a previous post entitled Why I Play FPS Games I posted a response to a comment where I mentioned different types of people who could design levels for games. It got me thinking about designer’s lives outside the gaming world. Career Paths Gaming is still a relatively new industry when compared to movies… Read More

The Challenge
Introduction I spend a lot of time looking for SP mods and maps for the games I’m interested in. However I’m not perfect and I’m sure that my database is missing lots of files. I do feel that the database is the best resource of Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods available on… Read More

Why Me? – Mod Story idea
Introduction As with most of my mod stories I will start with the story told in fiction form and then explain the reasoning behind it and also give more details about the gameplay and twists/spoilers. Why I play Sci- Fi FPS Games and Mods
I’m a little older than the average gamer, not the oldest I know but still at an age where my contemporaries consider my hobby as childish. A typical Monday morning conversation could be:

ME: “I worked on my website”.
THEM: “Oh, I didn’t know you had a website, what’s it about?”
ME: “FPS Computer Games”.
THEM: “You still play games at your age, I would have thought you would have grown out of that by now”.

Time Travel Gameplay Idea
I've just finished watching Twelve Monkeys and although I've seen it before I stilled enjoyed it. I was wondering whether the concept of being sent back and retrieved in time could be used in a game. Now I know there have been a few games where time travel is part of the story (and in… Read More
