Fortunately, you have enough weapons and ammo to disagree, most violently I might add, and do as you please.

Read the instructions at the beginning of the map very carefully, they will save your life.
Watch out for bobby traps and avoid the obvious bombs.
Kill everything with as little ammo as possible.

Starting in a strange cell, you need to explore the area and rescue the scientists and security guard.
Be careful, as there is an assassin some where in the area too.

You are on a space station, when suddenly everything goes crazy and your confinement is over.
Work your way through a series of rooms and corridors until you eventually find the escape pod.

Starting in an elevator, you exit into a slightly confusing world.
Ghost trucks and vortigaunts that are real enough to kill you.
Progress further and you can see the transformation of a xen area.

You and your squad have been pushed back into retreat by Xenian forces.
You wake up in a small base you have taken shelter in to find that something is off, the lights are dim, there’s blood everywhere, all your fellow soldiers are dead. What happened here, what happened to your squad.
You must escape before you end up the same way as your buddies.

You find yourself back in Black Mesa and part of an Army grunt team, although you don’t get to meet many of them.
There’s very little objective, except keep moving forward and stay alive.
Keep looking for the lambda signs and explore every little nook and cranny
