Only a few years late, here is the first “Atom” run by Map Labs in 2019! The Atoms are typically 24-hour map jams with a specific theme; this theme was “Blade” – interpreted however the authors want!

So here are the 15 entries in Blade!

Manual Installation Instructions
  • Make sure you have the Upcoming branch of the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer installed in Steam and run at least once. (Properties – Betas – select upcoming from the dropdown list).
  • Copy the blade folder into your SourceMods folder.
  • Restart or start Steam.
  • Blade should now be listed in your Library tab.

    Ok, so this is me reviewing map challenges again, after playing the fantastic and recommendable “Snowdrop Escape” and “Swelter” mods…

    And I have to say the best thing about this map-lab-atom 1 had, is that is quick-play, short entries, and a fair enough manageable difficulty to beat all the maps.

    I liked how entries were most of them short but nice, and not all much focused on pure puzzles, a thing that I detest about HL2 maps…

    Overall the 15 total entries gave me a good entertaining time and overall this map-lab felt like the perfect Play it Later.
