Starting in a prison cell, you manage to find a crowbar. Could that really open the door?

Instead of standing there asking me, go try it!

There is a portal that will free you.

Beta version RC7 was supposed to correctly detect the half-life executable location. It didn’t.

I have tested this version and it worked correctly for me.

I will test it a little more and if there are no reports of issues, then this is likely to be the actual release candidate.

  • Deep Down

    · Half-Life 2: Ep2, HL2-EP2 Mods, Play · 144 Replies

Firmly sticking to the Half Life 2 formula, Deep Down is a new entry in the story of Alyx and Gordon as they continue the hunt for Combine Advisors in the area surrounding White Forest.

Combine Forces, Zombies and Antlions lie between them and the brooding menace deep below the earth that will test both their skills further than ever before.

If you miss the Half Life 2 formula and are tired of waiting patiently for Episode 3 then this mod is for you. Featuring new gameplay elements, fiendish puzzles and blistering action, Deep Down will provide your Half Life 2 fix (well some of it at least).

Starting off in a caged-off room, you need to get the tram working and then follow it along through a couple of electrical and direction puzzles.

Don’t expect it too easy though, there’s a few soldiers whose sole purpose in life is to stop you.

Built 12 years ago and only now seeing the light of day, this map ends in the top floor bathroom.

This is a remake of an original Half-Life mod called The Challenger Deep.

This re-designed mod has been in development for more than 7 years and has been made by the same author.

It follows the same storyline as the original.

Half-Life 2: Lost Coast is a technology demo showing off the Source engine’s HDR rendering capabilities.

The town of St. Olga, where the game is set, was originally slated to take place between the levels Highway 17 and Sandtraps, but was dropped.

Lost Coast was released on October 27, 2005 as a free download to all owners of Half-Life 2.
