  1. Phillip says Avoid It!

Like many maps of this genre, it gets tedious very quickly. Sometimes an author manages to make a map like this that encourages you to try different techniques, biut not this one.

I can’t say much more than that because it really is a simple map.

    SPOILER
I just put all my turrets inside and various angles and enticed the antlions to come near the doorway. Occassionalkly I took a turret outside and ran around.

    Only for antlion lovers!

    I enjoyed this. The challenge is to site the turrets correctly (DO NOT put them in the room as seen in images 5 & 6;
I did at first and it is VERY boring). Isn’t crossfire so efficient?!!. Once you have your turret strategy sorted out, you can enjoy the map more.
Make sure you have some spare time mind. Getting rid of 600 antlions takes a while!

    Maybe?

this “sunshine” is annoying. besides that there is nothing bad or good to say.

Defend base map – my favorite. Pretty entertaining. Would be nice to have more than 1 min to prepare the defense 🙂

  5. Maybe?

    I sorta took Phillip’s route (I don’t read reviews before I play).

With no medkits, I can’t see a way for *me* to win this outside. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t better players who can do it–as is apparent by WhiteKite and Jasper’s comments.

If there were more than 1 minute to prepare, I might try it the hard way.

  6. Think Twice

    Do-able, but prep time insufficient

  7. Avoid It!

It’s an arena map with 600 of the same enemy. It’s sorta fun at first when you have Combine fighting alongside you but when they all die it turns into shooting antlions til you kill 600 of them or die. I did not kill 600 antlions, and I am not going to.

The mapping is also not very good, everything looks kinda blocky for one and the trees growing inside the ground were an omen of what was to come. I shouldn’t have turned around, because I was instantly blasted with an eye-melting ray. I guess the bright sun is supposed to keep you from going that way, but you still can, and the map just ends there, you can fall off into nothingness.

I don’t recommend you play this one.
