Your objective is to find your way out of the abandoned base. You’ll need to find some batteries and Alyx even makes a brief appearance.
“I am still beginner at Hammer SDK and this is my first single player map. I am showing what I have learned so far in Hammer SDK. I started it out nice and simple, however I wasn’t satisfied with my map, I kept coming back to put more details and redesign the map. End of the map i kind of lazy, because I got to excited and badly wanted to finish. It’s a small map it takes about less than 15 minutes to finish (if you know where everything is ) My goal is to make a map that is “fun” to play. I hope you guys enjoy my map. Batteries are on blue shelves.”

I really enjoyed this map, although finding the last battery was a PITA. The appearance of the zombies was a little predictable but the quality of the environment made up for it.
The last part with the Antlion Guards didn’t quite fit but as the author says he rushed that end.
Definitely worth playing, let’s hope we get more from the author soon.
I enjoyed playing through this map it had the right amount of everything in the level & gameplay & setting.
I did manage to find the 3rd battery which if anyone wants to knows look for a wooden floor board.
Some ceiling tile’s that were open I managed to get into or shoudnt have because when I did I saw through the map I went up into the ceilings in these certain places to explore or thought they had a purpose.
I was killed once by a antlion king & loaded up an autosave but I got A I Disabled error & played through the map a 2nd time & made through to the climatic battle & exit.
Keep up the awesome working looking forward to more or even a continuation.
I just completed this map ten minutes ago and would recommend it to others. The level design was very good. I would have placed the red light switch near the end against the wall or out of the way. Since it sticks out, the Antlion Guards can’t move passed it thus creating a safe zone for the player. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
As for that third battery, it took me quite some time to find it. It was really the only annoying part but the feeling of finding it was great. One of those “Why didn’t I see that sooner” moments.
Excellent first map by the creator and hope to see some future work.
IMHO it was pretty good, and the skills you learnt so far proved pretty useful. In the little that I know here, I think that the lighting and shadowing around your map was brutally brilliant and you proved that you can map. For a first attemp my man, you left my jaw dropped with the level of detail that you put into those maps. Also, this is pretty equilibrated IMHO, the enemies are placed well and it is not in an abusive attempt to make the game difficultier. Appreciated the duct under the floor, the one breakable, with a cover made out of wood, it kinda reminded of some Doom 3 passages (not an insult it actually worked out well, because it must be kind of difficult to map smaller areas like that, and I for a beginner in SDK too, have no clue how to do that, but only small block maps ahaha!) . Anyhow, congratulations on your mod, and keep up the good work!! What you did really represented well the talent that you have and it shows that you must be a very concentrated subject, that efforted well and did a hell of a job (say that in a positive conotation). Cheers!
This map was ok as far as it went which wasn’t far enough for me. The layout I thought was messy and cramp but having a good balance between action, puzzles and climbing routines. Just when I thought the game may open-up it ended, leaving me with the feeling that this is yet another part 1 of a game that won’t be completed. it’s certainly worth a play but as it stands I can’t recommend it as a must play, so play it when you are short of a game.
Well for a first time with the SDK I’m shocked. If you can do this I’ll never be able to use it lol.I too hated the guards.I had no problem finding the 3rd battery myself.I actually found myself jumping abit while playing it in the dark.
I thought the map was really innovative, well designed (with some minor flaws) and most importantly, fun.
For a first map I would say it’s exeptional, you really showed that you got some creative skills 😛
I hope this was just the first part, cause the ending was too abrutly to not be continued ^^
I recommend this map to annyone looking for a fun challange!
A fantastic map, first one with SDK? What a talented map maker, what else can be said! More, more!
Nice map
Hi All,
Is there any way to tell in advance if one needs to have only HL2EP2 installed (and not also HL2 and HL2EP1) in order to play this (or other) mods?
Yes, the title. 99% of mods have the game that is required to play. Very rarely a game needs the Source SDK or is not listed correctly, but most of the time just check the title and it will say which game is required.
It is very, very rare to require more than one game, in fact I know of only two cases of all the mods listed.
thanks very much for the info.
I could not for the life of me figure out how to get into the fenced area, so I noclipped the first time. Then I played it again to see if I could figure it out. The third time, I thought of shooting the lock from a different angle.
Aside from that confusion, it was a lot of fun.
Just got to this one. First map ? Wow !
Loved it. Challenging, dark and creepy, plenty of crowbar practice and very well designed for it’s intended purpose. Lots of fun !
Where are you now ” PantyThief ” ?
Nicely done. I was surprised how well done this was for such a small file. It took me a while to find the last battery also. So that was a pretty good little puzzle.
Döglött a link!
I have added a working link.
Very fun! Its cool that its Alyx haunting you. I also like zombie mappacks and mods. So I liked this A LOT!
this was a very well put together map, especially for a first map from the author, well done. enjoyed it.
I’m not always a big fan of darker maps when the flashlight drains out while I need to locate something for an objective but that’s just me. the setting and the lighting that the author choose did fit this
wow, some of these “map threads” are dead like nothing else. there should be way more activity around this page.
oh well, my problem with this map is, that the download isn’t available. any reuploads possible?
Try now.
works perfectly now. thank you very much for fixing it.
btw, there are a few other links on this page, that should eventually be fixed and reuploaded, like nimbus island
A zombie map set in an underground bunker type area. It has a good atmosphere, as well as some nice visual details. Some of the combat’s a bit eh, I wish different types of zombies were mixed more. The first two batteries are nicely placed, but if you’re wondering why I took 22 minutes to beat this map, THAT LAST FREAKING BATTERY is why! If it weren’t for fragmaster’s comment, I would never have found the bloody thing! That texture is always used for non-breakable things in the actual games, so it’s just confusing to have to break it. I didn’t mind the last battle with the antlion guards, but the horde of zombies was pretty silly. Overall, I recommend you play it, but just know that one of the batteries is (spoiler) under a wood texture floor that doesn’t look breakable but is.

Waouw this is the perfect example that a map doesn’t need to be huge to be highly enjoyable
interconnection gameplay ambiance everything was well put together
thanks to fragmaster for his tip…I know where the right room to find the battery was but didn’t know how to reach it
just a good experience before to go to sleep 🙂

Zombie map. Somewhat lacking in health but I got thru it alright. A tough section looking for 3 car batteries, but the author was kind enough to hint on the one thats hardest to find. Some ceilings were decorative and the author did not anticipate the player being able to reach it. Finale was somewhat impressive but way too easy. Pretty good, so play it now
Plays and looks good. Good use of space. Cheat: at the end when Alyx opens the door, climb up on the fork lift and brace yourself.

The setting is very interesting for a zombie map. Run and gun, with finding the battery puzzle. Why does it have to be an I-spy puzzles? Could’ve just make it a survival with waves of zombies instead of wasting your time looking for batteries. This is the worst thing a mapper could do. Why does it have to be finding objects to progress? The Antlion guard battle does seem to be rushed. I can’t say but two in one battle and then a bunch of zombies? On the bright side, there is a shotgun ammo box.
Easily a play it now. It took a long time to find the second and third battery. I thought once I found them that would be it, but I was wrong. I was surprised to find two antlion guardians guarding the exit. I killed the first one and a second one must’ve spawned in. I say play it now because it’s pretty easy and I was given plenty of ammo. 24 minutes. Most of it searching for a third battery.
I did note that I would’ve gotten stuck had I run out of ammo. Pretty easy to softlock myself that way. This being the fact that I need a bullet to shoot the lock, but if I wasn’t careful with my ammo before that… well you can figure the rest out.
