Starting in an underground prison cell, you need to fight your way to the surface.
Once there, you will find a train station and hopefully a train will lead you to your next encounter.
The final challenge is a Combine chopper, that won’t be easy to destroy.

The name of the mod seems to be based on the number of team members. Each member has made a new level and I am sorry to say that it shows. There could have been more overall control of design and quality, but it was a project for their course and no doubt they all learnt a lot.
Visuals
The station is by far the best area and this should have been the central theme, the underground areas suffer from coloured lighting with no obvious source and too make vents that lead you to exactly where you want to go
Gameplay
Some areas are fights with Combine, other it’s zombies but overall, I didn’t really enjoy any of the battles except for the train station which had plenty of different attack directions. The mounted turret gun should have been used to more effect, but it was still nice to use.
Layout and Design
Too many conflicting ideas and concepts to really have a strong feeling of coherence.
Summary
You may enjoy the station but the rest is not that great. Consequently, I only gave it a Maybe.
5 Words Or Less Review
1 plus 7 is better.
It’s worth a play on a rainy day. Best to download it before it slides off page 1 of PP before you forget.
The different mapping styles are very evident but they must have collaborated because the action builds slowly to the final boss fight.
The train station just before that has the most combat and was rather good.
You get the gravity gun early enough to enjoy it and hurl the amply supplied objects at the opposition.
Just enough fun and combat to make it worthwhile.
If you can stand the bog type wall textures; that’s restroom USA or loo UK, plus the miss-use of light affects then give this one a go.
Normally I would not bother too much with this one, however it is Christmas week and unless Phillip is holding back to give us all a Christmas bonus, there’s nothing else to play at the moment.
I have played mods a lot worst then this one, although it’s not much of a challenge with what combat there is being easy, so play on hard level.
I noticed a few names given credit for this one and image that the various levels were mapped by different people with only one set meriting any design and action awards, that being the rail station layout. As for the rest its pretty basic stuff both gameplay and design wise, and I would guess that there is a lot of first-time mapping wrapped-up with this one.
So if you don’t get something new either from your Mum or Phillip this Christmas then try this one for just fun.

The station map, including the climb up to it, was the standout map. It rates a “Play it later” but gets bogged down by the other, more basic maps. A few of the maps, like the gravity gun chambers and finale, has a few interesting setups, but were just okay.
You might as well give it a go, if you’re in the mood to play.
I would like to say about this mod that it is just one of those mods that can be found many of. what did struck me most is now short these maps are. the maker could easely made from 2 maps one map. the puzzles we’re ok, not to hard but also not to easy. what did make this mod way to easy was the HUGE amount of health that was laying around. in map one and two there we’re only 1 or 2 enemies that could harm you, still there was anough health and batteries around for a whole army, I never get this why mappers do this.
then the use of textures, it looks like the maker had only the choise of 6 textures or so. this really makes it look bad.
and then the end, that I really didn’t understand. after having shot the heli down you see a text on screen, something like;
“enjoy the fireworks”
and then 6 barrels or so explode on a roof, I asume the map should end there but it doesn’t. at least, it didn’t with me. to be sure I have walked all the way back to the start of the map and again to the roof. but I couldn’t find anything else that needed to be done. even in no_clip mode I couldn’t find anything else, other then that this end map looked like it wasn’t finished at all. you can clearly see the end of the map we’re the skybox starts.
so, all in all its a mappack that takes around 10 min. to play I guess.can’t give it a better value as 4 out of 10, and even that’s rather high.
I can’t get 7plus1 to launch.
Installation seemed fine.
It appears in my Steam games list, I tried all three methods to launch it: made a shortcut, double-clicked in Games and clicking Launch in Games. They all show the normal “preparing to launch” message, then, nothing.
Can anyone help?
Have you tried reinstalling it in case the folder has been corrupted? What about other HL2 mods, do they all work ok now?
Thanks for reply Phillip.
Seems to be a problem with HL2. Validating files as we speak.
Fingers crossed
Not good. Validation was OK, but HL2 will not launch.
Unistalled, rebooted, reinstalled from CD then updated from Steam (took forever) but it still won’t launch. Baffled.
Check for something called client.blob I think if you delete this Steam will re-create it and that might help. I would suggest a web search before doing it though.
I had two of them, one a Temp file, deleted both, but still no joy.
HL1 runs in Steam and Sierra no problem at all.
None of the HL2 files work.
I have a theory, I had two copies of HL2 and gifted one to a friend. Could that have any connection?
I tried the “activate a product on steam” thing, but it says my cd keys are already registered.
So, let me try to get this straight.
HL2 is listed in your “My games” tab and is 100%. When you try to run it and all HL2 mods, you get the error. IS that right? If so, you should contact Steam support.
Your reading of this is correct. I tried everything, I guess support is the only thing left.
I’m wondering if there is a problem with a driver, but if that was true, other games wouldn’t run.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I’ll let you know what we find.
I would like to leave a brief comment on this mod.
I did not like it, nor do I recommend it. Not even a “rainy day” nod.The entire thing was put together well enough (for a skill level of “coma patient”).I found absolutely no challenge in it at all and the the skill level could not be changed. You rarely even take any damage. I was kind of insulted, actually.
The mapping was a colorful collection of standard geometric shapes ( blocky at best ). AI was comatose. Long descriptive short, all around generic waste of time.
I will give a nod to the train station area, which gave me the only pleasurable 3.5 minutes out of it all.
interest.
Hehe, I remember playing this mod ages ago!
It was a good timefiller, graphics were quite bad though, but some areas were quite nice, as phillip already said, like the train station or the tower of the last part.
Don’t expect too much, but if you have nothing better todo, play it. :3
Well, it’s something to do.
Once you were supposed to get on the train it got interesting, combat-wise, at least for that section of map. But I had to cheat and give myself the crowbar at the very beginning–I just could not get the grate to move for me.
For whats there its an ok quick play map. I echo most comments above but I really have a dislike for authors who dont end a map, if its going to continue sometime in the future or not at least put a basic “the end” up even if its an abrubt ending. I hate wasting time backtracking trying to find something thats not there. if it ends say it ends please.

I didn’t get the vibe that the modders worked together on this, specially the train level transition. One second I’m running towards the train, next I’m in a different location, off the train, like an amnesiac. Also before getting to the train there was no hint of the right way to go so I first took such a wrong route down where I died over and over cus of SO many combine and elite soldiers in one place just pouring towards me in a tight spot.
Some maps were clearly first attempts but at least AI was ok and I liked killing zombies with props since so many were around, maybe too many and really out of place.
Why.. why would they do this entire project so poorly? 1 moderate mapper would leave them biting the dust. Think twice before playing!
EXE, no thanks.
