As Corporal Shepard, you are part of a platoon of marines supplying additional security at Monte del Oscuro (an astronomical research facility). Things never work smoothly as usual. Find a way to escape and lead your men to safety. There is a flashback to a Balkan Town to rescue a UN Representative from some warlords.

Finally, Ice, a massive set of levels set in Antarctica.   Something has been found in the ice and a number of foreign powers desire it.   After the little accident at Monte del Oscuro, you have been given a hardship posting. Defend the base against hostile forces and rescue the scientists!

Everybody you encounter should be considered an enemy.

Turn off the forcefields and get the lifts working.

Only via them can you escape.

You start the mod by visiting the toilet (head) and then you go to your commanding Officer to receive your orders.

Upon your return, the base has been taken over by Black Ops.

Save the base and even the money!

Author’s Note:“You are a special forces commando. You were in Black Mesa during “the accident”.

Now 50 marines including you, have been sent to this base which could be “Black Mesa 2”. This is where the small amount of captured aliens were taken.

But all hell has broken loose and you were knocked out and thrown in a small building. Luckily an alien grunt came by and dropped a huge load of pistol ammo! “Good luck marine!”

Author’s Note: “Retaliation picks up where Dark Operations left off. There will be no Xen or displacer in Retaliation.

Action is the main theme. It will mainly be an encounter against military targets, but there is a healthy dose of aliens too.

There will also be many sequences and a few puzzles to keep things interesting. Retaliation is the last of this series. Enjoy.”
