Definitely better that the first one and very inventive in places.
Not much of a challenge, so I recommend playing at a higher level than you normally do.
The area with the Garg and at the end, is well design and fun to play.
I’ll have to look out for what else the author has made.
This was much better than the first mod, with no crashes and nice visuals. The only issue I saw was the transition between maps is not very smooth sometimes, but that is a minor grievance at best. Definitely worth downloading and playing.
As has already been said its better than the first one, however it’s not great!
To be fair to the author it showed imagination, but not the ability to make it look as good as it could have. The combat was patchy with the Gonarchs at the end being way to easy to kill all of them. Although it is better than part one I really can’t say it was much fun, maybe if it was a bit more coherent I might have enjoyed it more?
The ending was really a waste of time with the top down view but at least it was a change from fade to black or back to the menu!
I echo the other reviewers in saying it was better than the first mod.
This mod was quite possibly the easiest I have ever played. I went through the majority of the mod with at least 90 health and hev, there was even a map with a Gargantua and a Tentacle, and it was still easy! Other than this huge downside, it was pretty good. The gameplay was fun with a few puzzles that took me a while to figure out, although they were actually pretty easy. The mapping was much better than the first one which was nice to see, and the textures in this one were placed well along with some new stuff.
Overall it is pretty fun. Better than the original one definitely.
This second part is definitely better than the first one I mean to jump from Think Twice to PN, is a great leap at least in my ratings personal likes, I think here the maps were perfectly enhanced and u could notice that because the layout is also improved, the begining of the mod it looks very nice to me with that rocket in the water and those grunts and ichantosaurs in the flooded pits, also I agree that Garg arena was very unique and nice, and that structure at the end is just beautiful and makes u feel like a strange feeling of hugeness in that place, also the big mommas as final boses at the end are not real challenge since u can kill them easy from avobe and in a very safe distance, so maybe the main leak of this mod is the same leak of strong combat, maybe the garg arena is the most challenging part of the mod but is also perfectly beatable with a safe distance.
I’m with Bolx here; it’s better than the first one but that isn’t saying a whole lot. This one isn’t bad and there are some interesting areas. But it’s pretty rough around the edges and horrifically easy. I would ramp your normal skill up probably by 2 notches to be honest, there is plenty of weaponry and double health/HEV chargers around every corner.
Some of the mapping and creativeness were the highlights here. I did like the finale area, although the elevator was terribly slow and you have two very long waits with nothing else around to really build anticipation or tension. The actual battle turned out to be a dud thanks again to the weapon loadout. The architecture is decent although pretty basic at times, and the lighting can be garish in spots.
This is a vast improvement but I still don’t recommend it. I did like some of the ambient music though, and it might be worth a look if you didn’t mind the first one.
At least a bit better than part 1, the weird story incl. strange mapping continues – “Russian” style 😉
There were a few improvements such as new design stuff I’ve never seen elsewhere before.
But nonetheless it’s not very plausible or fun playing in my eyes.
You again start outside in Kongo country, blowing up a rocket and go deeper inside some sort of
military complex underneath Mother Earth for accomplishing your only goal, destroy Gordon Freemans
body! Being once again his son, Den you must solve easy puzzles, but usually prevail in firefights with soldiers and aliens until you find Gordon’s corpse.
Pro’s:
-New textures, prefabs, sound (“Quake 2”) and music – some good architecture & design, but mostly odd
-Some good combat action
-A few easy puzzles
-Some scripts
-Story is ok
-“Playable” end sequence (you can walk around, bird’s-eye-view, and still can fire your weapons = funny)
Con’s:
-Yet again mostly strange map layouts and areas
-Short playtime
-Balancing – again, there are too many weapons and ammo, also health and HEV is available more than needed
-Bugs (mapchange)
-Odd atmosphere at all times
Very fun and well-mapped (the only lack are not smoothed level changes).
