Phillip says Avoid It!

  1. Phillip says Avoid It!

Presentation is everything. At least that is what I was taught by a very successful businessman many years ago. This map would benefit from that idea. The gameplay idea is quite good, although nothing new; survive for as long as possible. But I somehow quite liked something about this map, that I can’t quite put my finger on.

The author is apparently going to make a series of these maps and if he makes sure some of the details are better then he could have a fun little collection of maps.

A good example is the edge of the map. In stead of just finishing it dead, he could have done something to make it seem real, perhaps tress that couldn’t be passed and the zombies all come from a path. Something to make it feel real.

Anyway, I put THINK TWICE because it’s not everybody favourite kind of map.

    Headcrabs plus zombies mean trouble.

I haven’t actually played through this map, as it seems to be the same gameplay as that other headcrab survival map. The guy wo is making these maps should work hard and make one good looking map instead of pumping out a bunch of crappy clones. It is very blocky, has poor lighting, and to be frank, has nothing to offer that sounds remotely entertaining.
