Here is the second “Atom” (24-hour map jam) run by Map Labs. As hinted by the title (and unlike AlphabetVille), the authors were asked to pick a single letter of the alphabet and base their map on that letter – again fully open to interpretation.

Manual Installation Instructions
  • Make sure you have the Upcoming branch of the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer installed in Steam and run at least once. (Properties – Betas – select upcoming from the dropdown list).
  • Copy the abc folder into your SourceMods folder.
  • Restart or start Steam.
  • ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ should now be listed in your Library tab.

    Hey guys! I could make up a word “brake” but the door didn’t brake down at the “Initiation by Jean ‘XBLAH’ Knapp”. Is any another secret here?

      Try different words……hint, you aren’t driving a car 😀

      Just a comment on two of the maps, this one (XBLAH’s) and Scare were very enjoyable. Both of them prompted the words “delightful”, “cute”, “clever”. Well worth spending the time even if at first you get stuck 🙂

            Did anybody figure out the last sequence? Otherwise I feel this was one of the weakest Map Labs I ever played and most of them are bad already…

    Ok, so again, I think what I like the most about the atom maps, is that they are short so You can play the whole challenge in one sit!

    That being said, this one overall felt OK to play with enough challenge but entertaining times, and some other just joking map moments.

    The best map was “Arr” in my opinion, and yeah the rest were just OK.

    So yeah this one is overall, a big Play it Later to me.
