As the author says on the Steam workshop, this map contains very little combat, which is a shame because it’s not exactly a stealth map either.
The lighting and layout is quite bland, but not horrible, but I feel that with Black Mesa maps they should look fantastic.
The few steps and stairs are too sharply angled and some proportions don’t feel right. It doen’t feel like a real laboratory.
The jump across the lights was nicely done though.
The final escape is well timed but the choice between the two shafts is pointless. One leads to death the other to escape. It provides the player with no fun – just a restart from the last save.
All in all, not a bad map but a few little touches and it could have been much more fun to play and look at.

I don’t like scavenger hunts.
What was the point of the data chips anyway? they seemed to be pointless entirely.
The map was designed to serve as a concept similar to the Thief games as the name displays however this is definatley not the game to build it off of, the map was seriously dull with very little in it apart from the scavenger hunt, things only got relatively interesting towards the end with the trip lasers and turrets but they still did not feel that entertaining in the end, needs a lot more work.
Lighting is troubling to me, sure its night and the power should be off but walking through a office with a tiny circle of light is not good enough and does definatley damage the visual design of your map.
It seems you experimented which is a good sign for a mapper, unfortunately it did not work but hey, that’s the point of experimentation in the end.
So overall the map is very short, dark, lifeless and unrewarding for me to consider playing it more than once; or give it a score beyond 1 star, bit harsh but I think it is appropriate.

Although we have no combat at all in this map, which makes feel the lab quite empty and not like a realistic scenario at all -you know, because you expect that a real life high tech lab would be guarded by armed officers at all Times-, this map feels more like a puzzle one but it was entertaining to play.
I really missed the combat element, and more, because the interior of the lab building felt like the building in the classic “A night in the Office” HL1 mod. I guess the only combat we play here is only environmental combat as you fight gun-turrets and some laser beams.
The escape concept was perfectly done and actually feels satisfying when you achieve to escape the lab. Though I agree with Phillip, the last incinerator choice was quite pointless. Despite that, the live-trap system inside the lab fits well into the same escape concept.
All in all, this is a nice puzzle entertaining map to play.
