You find yourself outside a marine research facility waiting for rescue.
Unfortunately, things don’t go according to plan.
You need to try plan B, and maybe even plan C!
This map was entered into the TWHL Competition: Water and won.

I had a lot of fun exploring this base but found the sharks a pain in the neck, especially when they were floating in the air.
The route through these maps is not always clear but with careful exploration and a keen eye, you should be okay.
The time the messages are on the screen is way too long and if this were a really long mod I think I would simply leave my chair and come back later.
The ending seemed to have a bug (besides the flying sharks) where I couldn’t open the second elevator shaft and I had to noclip through.
All in all a nice entry that uses POKE 646 textures to make it feel fresh.

Pretty solid mod we’ve got here.
The setting is unusual, not your typical “Escape BM” mod. It has an original and creative setting, with a great execution too. The only issues I had were with some buggy sharks, but overall, it has a pretty atmosphere and great texturing. Totally deserved the 1st prize.
Quite the challenging mod, with an explosive introduction.
It’s quite hard to shoot the sharks, especially since the crossbow’s damage is not really that high and the sharks in this mod is a bit smaller than your average ichthyosaur.
To me, the starting area was really frightening (Frustrating too, but, that’s just me being in panic), being in a closed up space with a spastic shark with little to nothing to blast it plus my slight fear of underwater enemies sort of made it an adrenaline filled experience.
Maps look good and not too hard to get around in, just have to look around a bit, and i haven’t gotten any bugs or crashes of the sort.
A fine short mod for your underwater fears.

No surprise that it won the competition it was in. It had some glitches as others have mentioned. There was also too long of a delay in some doors becoming open, or being able to open, so you might try something that doesn’t work, leave, and come back to find it open.

Except for some minor issues that were already mentioned here a very cool mod! Good use of the under water setting, which BTW I missed very much in the overhyped Bioshock games. Their city could have been everywhere for how little the water played a role! This mod shows how it should have been done…
This little mod was quite good. I liked having the sharks for enemies but they were kind of buggy and difficult to kill. There aren’t any other enemies to speak of besides drowning. I actually liked the sequence and circular nature of the mod. Definitely a PIN

At first glance this looks like an odd mod. And possibly is a bit odd, the fact, is that is not a pure combat mod, nor a pure puzzle one, though is more oriented to a very big mapping puzzle. The only enemies we will find are those awesome Sharks.
Overall i had fun with this one, the whole map pack inside the mod is well built and although you may get confused finding the right path to follow, at the end you find it.
The end is just sudden and don’t expect a big wow moment. Overall I quite enjoyed this kind of “Challenger Deep” map, I think it was very original and just special, more special than all of those similar HL1 maps we may find.

Cool little mod, there’s not much to say other than what’s already been said. One minor gripe that I had was that the text sequences went a bit to slow. Otherwise, Play it now for it’s unique setting and ideas.

Creative mod! I like the replacement of the monsters to the fishes, and I also like returning to the entrance after the hull breach. It is hard to kill the sharks by using the crossbow, so I just tried to avoid them.
