An abandoned horror mod.

It only contains one map.

I have no idea if there was ever going to be a story.

WON and Steam versions available, but the Steam didn’t work on my Steam installation but the WON did!

WHY MODS LIKE THIS ARE ADDED

Mods like these are still being added because the stated objective of the site is to list and review EVERY SINGLE SP map and mod released, no matter how terrible they are.

I have used the WON version for the file size because I could get the Steam version to work on Steam! I have listed both downloads for readers who want access to both. If somebody gets the Steam version working and tidied up, I will use that as the default file.

Manual Installation Instructions
  • Copy the BSA-DEMO folder into your …\Steam\SteamApps\common\Half-Life folder.
  • Restart or start Steam.
  • Black Silla Assault DEMO Version should now be listed in your Library tab.

    Yes, I spent more time editing the images, uploading them, and writing the whole post than I did playing it. That alone is a warning.

    This has the Tag Beta Demo Unfinished but even that doesn’t tell you how bad it is.

    it’s just a couple of areas with some new zombies. I bet the file size could be reduced by 70%.

    Once you get outside, go to the left corner and jump; you’ll find yourself in water for some strange reason.

    This mod is only for masochists and people, like me, who HAVE to try everything.

    Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

    I know exactly what’s happened here.

    Somebody has found some cool looking models in various mods (Project Quantum Leap, Issues and Azure Sheep to name a few I recognise, as well as the ported HL2 weapon models) and decided to make their own mod around them, before establishing a plot or setting.

    Then, they realised that mapping takes time and effort and… well… that’s the whole story really.

    To put it bluntly, this is beginner level stuff from someone who couldn’t really be bothered.

      Or to put it even more bluntly… it’s the product of newbie modders who put custom weapons and models ahead of actual mapping skills. You know, like 95% of all ModDB projects do. 😛

    Avoid It!

    I don’t really want to sound rough but. What a crap!!! totally unfinished, only worked on WON version for me. and finally got stuck to death at the end of that hallway with a water corridor in it.

    Here we only have some new weapons and zombie models, maybe the only good thing about this, is the cool zombie models, but that’s it you shoot them, and some vortigaunts. Only to get stuck with a fatal glitch at the end.

    That’s all, don’t play this.

    Avoid It!

    What can I say. I think Urby’s review described this mod perfectly.

    Someone took some great weapon skins and wanted to make something out of them. Terrible mapping, crappy lighting and boring combat. The zombie models however look great. I know it’s unfinished, but even if it was finished, I doubt it would be any good.

    Overall, I don’t recommend this mod. It’s just terrible. Trust me on this one and don’t play it.
