This post is part of the The Replay Experience Experiment 2012 event. This is a chance to replay all the Half-Life games and discuss them based on our experiences since we first played them.
A good podcast as always. I definitely agree that Episode 2 contains a lot of the high points of the series, and is perhaps better than Half-Life 2.
The gameplay is so extremely polished and fits fantastically in the overall universe and environment. That HL3 remains so eagerly awaited is perhaps a testament to the quality of storytelling that is evident here.
I enjoyed this more than the HL2 game, and I don’t think we’re the only ones. By the time they got around to making this, they had enough time to perfect themselves, so that might be one reason for its outstanding enjoyment, which also induces the pressure of having to top themselves with the next iteration..
Nice podcast overall, bit too long for my taste (it’s like you and long mods hehe), I think it could’ve been shorter and still maintain enough details but quality, as well.
