A simple objective: Find the portal to escape the base.
Beware there are a LOT of grunts trying to kill you.
Can you survive? I doubt it.

Look past the boring textures and slightly silly layout and just enjoy the gameplay. There’s little variety but plenty of challenge. I nearly made it without cheating but couldn’t – sorry about that.
If I didn’t have to post and review it I would have kept trying. I spent about 30 minutes before I cheated, right at the end.
Looking forward to reading the comments telling me how easy it was.
Pants on fire….
Anyway, I really enjoyed it for the gameplay and I hope you do too.
Insanely hard but I managed it – of course not without my trusty F6 and F7 buddies. I recommend going for the AR2 nade + shotty combo and fall back on the AR2 if ammo is scarce. When you pick up the satchels USE THEM against large mobs.
Speaking in terms of level design, story and any of the other aspect it doesn’t provide any of that whatsoever but it’s fun to play with nothing but challenging combat throughout. I enjoyed it.
A crazy labyrintic level I could go through thank to several saving/loading.
A lot of weapon and ammunition but few health and battery.
At the end I was fighting only with shotgun double shot ans mp5 grenades, and 7 health point remaining.
So if you like hard fight in never ending corridors, play it.
This map was made using an auto generator tool. I highly doubt the “maker” of this map even touched Hammer Editor when he/she made this.

There’s lots of evidence of this, such as the very similar style and the portal at the end, however the final nail in the coffin? Take that number it displays at the start of the map and put it in to the generator tool, it’ll spit out the exact same map as the one here for download.
It’s a fun map to play, don’t get me wrong, I had a fun time blowing the grunts away with the grenades. I just don’t think it really counts as a custom map, seeing as a computer program made it rather than an actual person in Hammer. I wasn’t sure whether to give it a good rating or not, but I decided to give it a low rating as I could make something equally as good in two minutes.
Most likley but I don’t care, was good shooting action!
It’s a good map, but not without it’s flaws. there were several moments when the placing of grunts were rather cheap, and when I was thinking about quitting due to the outrageously stupid dead ends. However, it is still a good mod. Great battles, good creativity, and blowing grunts up with a rocket launcher?
best. moment. EVER.
Play it, I mean if u like so much fast think and close combat action this is 4 u this map achive that so well for be in HL1 so I could qualifie it good, an important note is that here u wont find any fancy and nice detail, but so much blood and combat, I made it without cheating and feels good, so I end it just wioth 3 of health and then I say “well seems 2 be that im a good shoter” this map is perfect for practice ur strategy, and precise killing abbility in HL, oh and also stisfied my “nostalgia” for HL1 maps by now, so well I think it doesn’t rest to say that I L I K E it!
Yes I enjoyed it – hard at times but well worth playing.
I never used the rockets, “cos I was saving them for the helicopter, so I was douibly disappointed when it finished so abruptly.
this map is hard because of poor item placement: there are not many heals and batteries, only a few at the beginning.
Difficult, boring (generated) mapping, no story, no nothing… but still I had to keep playing, couldn’t stop…
Single map build like a poor maze with several larger rooms and outdoor areas.
The problem is that it’s all boxy and simple and there are only grunts to kill, that’s it.
Weapons are crowbar, pistol, AR with contact grenades, shotgun, rocket launcher, hand grenades and satchels.
It gets boring quick unless you like simple gruntfests…
Pro’s:
-Lot of grunts wanting to be a sound sleeper
-Sometimes tactics are required
-Quite many weapons available, also lot of ammo
-No bugs
Con’s:
-Simple, basic and undetailed design and presentation
-Very short playtime (~5-15 mins, 5 if you’re a skilled “gruntfester” I think 😉 )
-Balancing (almost no healthkits, no HEV batteries – too much ammo from dead grunts)
-A story embedded to a possible real training site would be cool
-No atmosphere
-Gets boring quick
I had a lot of fun with American Training Facility, this is some of the most intense combat I’ve played in a Half-Life mod. Unfortunately as Captain B.O. said, it is a generated map, so it doesn’t seem fair to recommend this over something else which actually has effort put into it.
